BxA Gaming welcomes Knightmares as our newest Website Manager

BxA Gaming is excited to welcome & introduce Beau “Knightmares” Russell as our newest Website Manager. This is a promotion for Knightmares who has been with BxA for the last two months serving as our Social Media Manager. Please give Beau a follow on Twitter at: @yourknightmares.

When asked to provide an introduction Beau shared: “”My name is Beau (pronounced “Bow” thanks French) “Knightmare” Russell. I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas (No, we don’t ride our horses to school). I fell in love with video games when I was very young, playing our PS1 and original Xbox. I wasn’t allowed to start playing online, however, until I was 12 and we had a Wii with Call of Duty: World at War. Now I had played Call of Duty dating back to CoD 2, but never in multiplayer. I fell in love. When I was 14, we got an Xbox 360 slim with a built in wireless card, so I could start playing MW2, CoD4, Black Ops, and the Gears of War series online. I was instantly addicted. By the time Call of Duty: Ghosts came around, I was so close to being a professional, I could taste it. Advanced Warfare killed that dream for me. I hated that game so much, I quit playing it after 2 weeks completely and sold my Xbox One to game on PC. I started playing games like League of Legends, Dota, Counter-Strike and H1Z1, but didn’t really feel at home playing any of them like I used to playing CoD.

I eventually bought an Xbox One back with Gears of War 4 and instantly felt at home again. There was only one problem: I was horrible. This is when I decided to play more casually and work in eSports more than play in it. By the end of March 2017 I was in college, and 19 years old, I had been a part of 4 organizations, but never really felt home. I was, and still am, the head admin of an online league with a $25k prize pool for Gears of War, but I felt like I was barely doing anything other than on tournament days. That’s when I found Broken Alliance. I had met some of the players when they came down from San Antonio for Killer Instinct World Cup, and they were all super nice. Shortly after applying to be a Social Media Manager, I got to talk more with some of the players and staff and everyone was so kind. I felt like I had found a family and was home again, as long as they would accept me. It’s been a great experience so far in BxA being the Social Media Manager but I’m looking forward to my new position as Website Manager”

Congratulations on your promotion Knightmares!

Thank you #BxAFam for all of your support
